Obviously, I was disappointed, as I wanted her to experience\u00a0the <span style=\"color: #215336;\"><strong>joy of the snow<\/strong><\/span>. This\u00a0encouraged\u00a0my husband and me to start looking for a piece of land in part of Croatia with more snow, in the hopes that we could build a holiday house there. The region of\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #215336;\">Gorski Kotar<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0was a logical solution. And then, while I was in the hospital maintaining my second pregnancy, my husband called to say that he found the\u00a0perfect place. He sent me some photos, I immediately loved it, and with that, we bought this piece of land. By the end of 2011, our holiday house was complete and <span style=\"color: #000000;\">four of us<\/span> moved in.<\/p>\n<p>Then it finally came!\u00a0The <span style=\"color: #215336;\"><strong>first winter<\/strong><\/span>. It was magical. We travelled to our mountain fairytale every weekend. This holiday house built in the mountain style, with a fireplace and lots of, lots of snow became\u00a0<span style=\"color: #215336;\"><strong>our second home<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-fullwidth fullwidth-box fusion-builder-row-5 fusion-flex-container has-pattern-background has-mask-background about. Just across the street, we could enter the forest and walk through endless forest paths, inhale the nature and <span style=\"color: #215336;\"><strong>hear the voice of the forest<\/strong><\/span>.\u00a0We could feel the forest. It was yet another purely magical experience. We wanted to explore more, so we bought bicycles and started to go deeper and deeper into the forest and discover more and more.<\/p>\n<p>We fell in love, not just with our new home, but with everything around it and life there as such. We kept telling our family and friends about how impressed we are with Gorski Kotar. Our second son was born in 2013. The time that the <span style=\"color: #215336;\"><strong>five of us<\/strong> <\/span>spent in our second home and in the nature that surrounds it became priceless.<\/p>\n<p>Now the children have grown up and have other interests, but my husband and I still wait for the <span style=\"color: #215336;\"><strong>first snow<\/strong><\/span> every winter as if we have never seen it. Every spring we happily walk through the forest as if we had never walked those paths. Every summer we discover new hiking trails and<span style=\"color: #215336;\"><strong> fill our hearts and memories with wonderful sights<\/strong>.<\/span> We are very happy that we have a place where we can hide from everyday life and where we can live our fairytale.
